Eczema & Psoriasis
We often get questions on "how does this product work for eczema and psoriasis or similar skin problems?" Well, this oil was formulated and designed for people that have reactions and allergies to certain ingredients. With a natural product, we eliminate most of the reactions that people may have from using chemical based products or ingredients.
Our eczema and psoriasis products aim to reduce redness and inflammation on the skin, so it has time to heal. People suffering from such conditions would understand that once you break that initial skin barrier is it hard to stop the itch. Continuing to scratch will cause infection and bacteria to spread, worsening the skin. Here is some more information on Eczema: Here & Psoriasis: Here.

Olive Oil
In Greece, olive oil has been used as a topical skincare agent for many centuries. Olive oil is a powerful antioxidant that contains the vitamins A and E, as well as the monounsaturated fatty acids that make it an anti-inflammatory. The emollients in olive oil make it a soothing moisturizer. Olive oil emulsifies and cleanses the buildup of dirt and debris from your skin.
Emu Oil
An anti-inflammatory pain relieving, moisturising oil using a pH equilibrium close to that of skin. This oil is well-known for the power to penetrate all five levels of skin providing nutrients like essential fatty acids Omega-3 Omega-6 and moisturising the skin. Additionally, considering that the arrangement of emu oil resembles that of skin, it is easily absorbed. It seeps into the lower levels of skin, unlike other moisturisers, it is regarded as an exceptional skin care product which uses include to heal minor aches, heal wounds and to guard the skin.
Apricot Kernel Oil
Contains ingredients such as essential fatty acids, linoleic acid, and oleic acid. It is rich in vitamins too, especially, vitamin A and E. All these ingredients make the apricot kernel oil, an excellent skin moisturiser. Regular application of apricot kernel oil can make the skin smooth and supple. Dry skin, mature skin and skin which is irritated because of excessive sun exposure can be treated by applying apricot kernel oil directly or using products such as our bath oil. Apricot kernel oil is natural oil and is very mild. Because of the presence of linoleic acid and oleic acid, it has anti-inflammation properties as well.
Vitamin E Oil
Has been considered an anti-inflammatory agent in the skin, and can reduce UV-induced skin swelling, skin thickness and signs of skin inflammation. This oil gives your skin all of the moisture and antioxidants it needs for healing. It repairs the free radical damage and works towards preventing it as well. It can lighten and smooth out the roughness of the skin encouraging the cells to regenerate. Using Grahams Natural Bath Oil as a bedtime therapy is ideal for concentrated skin healing and preservation.
Manuka Oil
Honey contains trace chemicals of this oil, has been shown to have strong antibacterial properties. Manuka Oil is effective for treating antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Manuka essential oil has analgesic properties that make it an effective pain reducer. It may also speed the healing of acne lesions, blisters, and cracked skin.
Almond Oil
Acquired from the almond seed, which contains protein, vitamin E and B vitamins as well as essential minerals, healthy fats and protein. Almond oil has emollient properties, which gives it the ability to rejuvenate and soften the skin. Skin irritation, such as itching and swelling, can also be reduced with almond oil.
Information & Guide
What are the characteristics of dry skin?
When your skin is dry, it is not because it lacks grease or oil, but because it fails to retain water. For this reason, a good daily skin care regimen focuses on the basics of bathing and moisturising
What other factors create dry skin?
Wind, low humidity, cold temperature, excessive washing without use of moisturisers, and use of harsh, drying soaps can all cause dry skin and aggravate skin problems.
How do I take care of my dry skin?
The most important treatment for dry skin is to put water back in it. The best way to get water into your skin is to briefly soak in a bath or shower and to moisturise immediately afterwards.
Use of an effective moisturiser several times every day improves skin hydration and barrier function. Moisturiser should be applied to the hands every time they are washed or in contact with water.
The goal of bathing and moisturising is to help heal the skin. To repair the skin, it is necessary to decrease water loss. We recommend that you perform your bathing and moisturising regime at night just before going to bed. You are unlikely to further dry out or irritate your skin while sleeping, so the water can be more thoroughly absorbed into your skin.
If you have hand eczema we recommend that you soak your hands in water, apply prescription medications and moisturiser, and put on pure cotton gloves before going to sleep.
What are the basics of Bathing & Moisturising?
Take at least one bath or shower per day. Use warm, not hot, water for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Avoid scrubbing your skin with a washcloth. Use a gentle cleansing bar, Grahams Natural Soap or Grahams Natural Body Wash, not a chemical based soap. During a severe flare, you may choose to limit the use of cleansers to avoid possible irritation.
While your skin is still wet (within three minutes of taking a bath or shower), apply any special skin medications prescribed for you and then liberally apply a moisturiser. This will seal in the water and make the skin less dry and itchy. Be sure to apply a moisturiser on all areas of your skin whether it has or has not been treated with medication.
Just as it is important to use proper bathing techniques, it is important to properly apply moisturisers to your skin within three minutes of showering or bathing.
While your skin is still wet apply a moisturiser to all of your affected areas.
How does water help my skin?
• Water hydrates the stratum corneum (the top layer of skin).
• Water softens skin so the topical medications and moisturisers can be absorbed.
• Water removes allergens and irritants.
• Water cleanses, debrides, and removes crusted tissue.
• Water is relaxing and reduces stress.
